You might be more serious than
many others about getting your income
to grow faster - perhaps
you want to be able to 'retire', or to go on that
overseas holiday, or buy that dream car,
etc. Well, whatever the case may be, you
are prepared to put in the effort required to
achieve your dreams and that means marketing your
business effectively by ANY
means possible.... One way is to not only
stop at introducing friends and family which is
the way most people begin, but going the extra
mile and finding others, through perhaps
regularly handing out flyers, chatting to
everyone you come into contact with, about the
business. Really serious about
marketing? How about a sign on
your bumper saying "Extra
Income, No Selling - <your
telephone number>"! Carry a
notebook with you, if someone shows an interest,
take down their details, preferred time to be
phoned, and forward the referral to us.
(Remember an email address if they have one!) if
you join an online business it does not restrict
you to only marketing it online. This is where
many people miss the target.

Section 1 ( Extract from John

Every
business in fact, every endeavor of any
kind that we know of has its peaks and
valleys. Economic trends, business cycles,
seasonal changes
People want more or less of
this or that at different times. These are things
over which you and I, for the most part, have no
control. But there are other highs and lows which
we can and must control- that is, if we want to
be a Master Prospector in Network Marketing.
In
my years of studying the Masters, I discovered
that all of them have mastered one thing in both
their attitude and their approach to the
business: consistency. They are consistent. They
are consistent. They are consistent. And they are
consistent-consistently. They've learned how to
minimize the emotional highs and lows that are
synonymous with building a Network Marketing
business.
Simply
put, Master Prospectors don't allow themselves to
get caught up in the roller-coaster ride of other
people's emotions. Why? Because more than
anything else, the emotional ups and downs of
this business take the ultimate toll on most
Network Marketers.
The
Law of Averages
The Law of Networking
Averages says this: Out of every ten people to
whom we thoroughly communicate the business
opportunity, approximately three of them will
enroll in the vision and put their name on an
application. Their intention is, of course, to do
something with the business. Out of those three,
one of them will fulfill their commitment to some
extent and go on to produce some measurable
results.
I'm
not saying that he or she will become the next Gold
or Platinum or
Executive or Emperor distributor in the
company-although they may just do that. I'm
saying that they will actively pursue the
business. Now here's the key to unlock the secret
that separates those who are merely
once-in-a-while distributors from the
Masters...
Prospecting
Prospecting
is the toughest part of building a network
marketing business. If you've been in the
business for any time, you know that prospecting
can be one of the most challenging of all
activities. To someone brand new to network
marketing, it can be a frustrating mystery. Why
is that?
Well, when we are prospecting, we are vulnerable
to someone saying no to our invitation and
it's human nature to protect ourselves from
rejection. Ever since we were young children, we
have hated to be told no. In starting our network
marketing business, we soon learn that because of
fear, laziness, ignorance, bad experiences, or
just other priorities, some people are not going
to be as excited as we are about our network
marketing opportunity-and tell
us no!
For
years, in an effort to balance the emotional
scales, network marketers have chanted the
mantra, "Some Will, Some Won't, So What?
Next!" This conjures up the image of
"move on!" If they are not interested
in what you have to offer, just "move on to
the next person it's their
loss." Even though this has been
helpful in shielding our vulnerability, we know
that's not really what network marketers believe.
The best of the best know that prospecting is a
relationship-building process that usually has to
develop over time.
Just
who is a prime prospect for your network
marketing business?
While some people are certainly better prospects
than others, it's usually not for the reasons we
think. Because someone has what we might consider
to be a "really good
job or career," makes a
lot of money, or has tried network marketing
before, we think they would be poor prospects for
our business. While in fact, some of these people
become our best prospects! On the other hand,
some individuals we "just know will do great
at this," sometimes prove to be our poorest
prospects. You see, the likelihood of someone
joining your business has less to do with what
they have and what they do, than who and where
they are in their lives. In most cases, it takes
time and follow-up to discover who your best
prospects truly are.

The
Pipeline Philosophy
Think of a pipeline that over time and space
carries a large amount of prospects. These
prospects can be people from all over the world
who are in the process of learning more about
your business. When you contact them, they enter
into your pipeline. As your prospects travel
through your pipeline they become more
knowledgeable, understanding, respectful,
enthusiastic, and committed to the opportunity
that awaits them on the other end. What
opportunity is that? The opportunity to build
their own successful network marketing business.
Everyone with whom you value the potential of a
relationship should move into your pipeline-even
if they have no immediate interest in what you
have to offer. As long as someone has no
objection to you keeping him or her abreast of
both your personal and the company's progress
they should be put in your pipeline.

Prospecting
is relationship building
Why? Because prospecting is a process, a journey
for both you and your prospects. Some of
your best business builders can be those who
journey the longest through your pipeline,
whereas some prospects who join too quickly can
be quick to quit. So let everyone you approach go
into your pipeline and help them go through the
process. As they begin to flow out the other end,
you will have people who truly believe in the
value of the opportunity
and are enthusiastically willing
to commit to it and for their reasons-not just
yours! In between, within the twists and turns of
the pipeline, you will route your prospects to
different areas to meet their specific needs. And
there may be a few that over time you may route
out of your pipeline altogether.
The
key is:
Everyone's
process and journey is different be
sensitive to each one's needs and concerns and
focus first and foremost on building the
relationship. Everything else will happen as a
natural result of that.
Enthusiasm
= Personal Belief
In the "science of
attitude", there's a universal law stating
that enthusiasm equals personal belief. Why?
Because belief is a lot like gravity: No matter
how enthusiastic you are, your beliefs will pull
on your excitement until both your enthusiasm and
belief are congruent.
It's
easy to get all excited and pumped-up by some
peak experience or moment of motivation, but if a
person doesn't really and truly believe in those
possibilities, he or she will crash. It's
inevitable. You can't sustain an enthusiasm of
eight with a belief level of three or four. It's
just not possible. So What Personal Beliefs
Are Important In Network Marketing?
Here they are: A
belief in yourself. A belief in others.A belief
in your company, products, and services. And a
belief in your industry. Without these
beliefs, all the enthusiasm in the world is just
a house built on sand. A few strong waves of
negative emotion come along and the house gets
washed away. When there's such a large gap
between enthusiasm and belief, a person is
vulnerable to being bounced up and down by
circumstances and emotions. . They know that just
as Sooner than later, he or she is bound to
get mentally and physically exhausted. Master
Prospectors walk around with an 8.5 on the
enthusiasm stakes and a minimum of 8.0 on their
belief chart. They maintain such a small gap
between those two numbers that they are virtually
immune to the negativity from others around them.
What's more, they're always working actively to
raise their belief level. They know that just as
negative beliefs can drag their enthusiasm down,
positive beliefs can boost it up to greater
heights than ever before.
That's
why you find Master Prospectors constantly
studying, learning and experience more-about
themselves, others, their company, products, and
services, and their industry. They never stop
studying and learning because they know the law:
enthusiasm = personal belief. While other
people are getting bounced around, a Master
Prospector only experiences a slight dribble-at
most. He or she know how vitally important it is
to keep that level of belief up around 8 and 9 so
they can be consistently consistent.
Belief
is the Key. Master Prospectors work on their
belief systems more than anything else. They read
voraciously and listen to tapes. They attend
meetings, rallies and conventions all the time.
They have a huge appetite for learning all they
can about themselves, others, their company,
products and services-and their industry.
Without
a firm foundation of strong personal and
professional beliefs, you can be bounced like a
rubber ball from emotional high to psychological
low. And anything bounced enough times quickly
loses air. So consistently build your
beliefs and you're well on your way to becoming a
Master Prospector!(Excerpted from 17
Secrets of the Master Prospectors by John
Kalench)
How to
handle:
Skepticism
A certain
amount of trust must be gained from your prospect
before you even start trying to promote your
product or business. But these days, your
prospects your prospects are more skeptical
than ever.
Everyone has been cheated or lied to at
least a few times in their life. And the more it
happens, the more sceptical they become. All
over the world people have been repeatedly
cheated with network marketing scams and now you
come along. When approaching such
sceptics, one needs all the answers proof, and a
full knowledge of the business opportunity.
Skirting any issue or objection will be instant
loss of this type of prospect.
When faced with a challenge or obstacle, most
people will whine, complain, and give up. But
only a few accept the challenge and find a way
around it. People that give up in the business
opportunity they have
joined take a huge step backward in life and yet
another step backward in their beliefs. Yet they
willjoin another business opportunity yet again
in the hope that maybe this time around it is 'THE
ONE'
There are a number of methods to break down your
prospects' fear of doing business with you and
joining your team. And the more of these
techniques you use, the greater your chance at
making the sale. Keeping members in your network
fully informed and trained makes for a powerful
network business. We suggest that one ensures
constant contact with members in your team as
regularly as possible supplying them with as much
information you can concenring their ( and Your)
business as possible.
TESTIMONIALS
One of the most self-evident methods of
overcoming skepticism is with the use of
testimonials. A testimonial is simply a statement
of recommendation or praise about you or your
product/service. There is also a letter recently
sent out regarding the product bundle which backs
up that this is in no way any sort of dishonest
business or scam.
When using testimonials:
The more, the better. You can never have too many
testimonials. Your prospect will read as many as
they need to satisfy their doubts.
Use as much information as possible about the
person giving the testimonial. Like first AND
last name. The more contact information you give,
the more credible and believable the testimonial.
Most won't ever contact them. But just knowing
that they can will make your testimonials more
effective.Phone numbers are important.! Let
you prospects know that they can receive similar
results with your product or service.
How to get testimonials:
Ask members of the team that have been in the
business for quite some time how they are
progressing or what they have achieved so far and
whether its working for them.! Look on the
company site and print what ever available
material you can find. Shopping

ADMITTING A FLAW
Admitting a flaw in your product can create
greater trust and believability than anything
else you do. Especially when you turn the
negative into a positive. You can subtly suggest
that perhaps there is cheaper product at other
companies BUT there you
do not have the advantage of earning a recurring
income that you have here as well as all the
support while doing it.Think about
this......."Every negative statement you
make about yourself is instantly accepted as
truth. Positive statements, on the other hand,
are looked at as dubious at best. Especially in
an advertisement." Ever seen a fat
person using diet products or on the latest
exercise machine on the shopping
channel.?????
You see,
when you have the guts to admit a fault, prospect
will let down their guard and tend to believe
more of what else you have to say. .
WHO ARE YOU?
Knowing about your product or service is not
enough. People want to know who they're doing
business with. You can fulfill this need by
elaborating on your credentials. The person wants
to know in this instance what you do, and how YOU
are going to support and back them in the
business opportunity.?
The following statement is probably the most
profound piece of advice in this article:
In the back of their minds, your prospects are
ALWAYS thinking, "What's
in it for me."
If you start rattling on about where you went
to college, what degrees you have, or awards
you've won, you'll lose your prospect in a flash.
They don't care about YOU. They
care about what you can do for them.
Your credentials should eliminate any fears or objections
your prospect may have about doing business with
you. They should clearly demonstrate your (or
your product's) ability to deliver the results
your prospect wants.
One powerful method of doing this is to list
every concern or objection your prospects may
have - which will vary depending on your
business. For example, you prospects may be
concerned with any of the following:
Do you have enough experience?
What experience do you have that relates to the
support you will give the prospect in their
business.
How have you helped others that have already
joined the business.?
I've used your type of product/service before,
and was not satisfied. Etc. ( Objections)
This is obviously a brief example. When using
this technique you should list every objection
imaginable. Then be sure to overcome each of them
in your message.
JUSTIFICATION
To increase believability, you must justify any
claim you make about your Netwrok and products
performance. For instance, using a deadline on
your offer or limiting the supply of your
product, is a terrific incentive to get your
prospect to join the opportunity. What
are realistic figures that can be achieved.?
Here's another example. Which of these headlines
do you think would pull more responses for a
business opportunity?
'Here's
How You Can Make $250,000 in Your Own Home-Based
Business'
-or-
'A California mechanic Reveals How He Made $10000
in His Own Home-Based Business after six months,
and How You Can Do the Same'
Clearly the second example is more believable,
and would likely outdo the first one. Simply
because it's not just stating that you can make a
lot of money. It justifies the claim by showing
that someone else did it, and you can too.
Justify every claim you make, and your
believability will shoot through the roof.
ENDORSEMENTS
An endorsement is nothing more than a
recommendation of your product or service by
someone else. They can be used in several ways.
Find out from people who have benefitted from the
product already by perhaps speaking to the
marketing manager of the company.
Statistics or other factual data. Use them to
back up your claims about your opportunities
performance. Who has achieved what figures
already etc..
For just about any product or service, there's a
way to implement some sort of guarantee to ease
your prospects' concerns about doing business
with you.
Brochures and promotional material and documented
information are also good to back up the
opportunity. print as much as you can and keep it
available in a folder to refer to.
BALANCE PROOF WITH EMOTIONAL FACTORS
Proof, statistics, testimonials, etc. are all
very important. But they're not everything. You
must balance them with the emotional factors that
make people buy. Like fear, greed, pride,
security, love, and pride.
Master marketer, Victor Schwab said it best:
'Your reader wants to believe an ad if the
appeal sounds good to him. The more effectively
you present your emotional factors, the more
predisposed your reader becomes to believe the
facts you present to justify your claims. Many
advertisements filled with good emotional
material fail because they do not contain enough
'prove it' facts. Likewise, many advertisements
filled with good proof material fail because
their emotional appeal copy is not strong enough
to motivate the reader to act.'
REFERRALS
Referrals from your existing customers are the
easiest business you'll ever get. Why? Referrals
are usually friends, family members, or business
associates who share a certain level of trust
with your customers. Therefore, you gain instant
credibility with the referral - they trust you
because they trust the judgement of the person
who referred them to you.
It's hard enough to obtain a new customer without
a recommendation from someone. Make it easy on
yourself, and get into the habit of asking your
customers for referrals. Applying these simple
personal and people friendly methods above are a
sure fire way to get your business going and
growing smoothly.

How
will you build your business if it was your
own.???
A
Carpenters's Story
An
elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He
told his employer-contractor of his plans to
leave the house-building business and live a more
leisurely life with his wife enjoying his
extended family. He would miss the pay
cheque, but he needed to
retire. They could get by.
The
contractor was sorry to see his good worker go
and asked if he could build just one more house
as a personal favour. The carpenter
said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his
heart was not in his work. He
resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior
materials. It was an unfortunate way
to end a dedicated career. When the carpenter
finished his work the employer came to inspect
the house. He handed the front-door
key to the carpenter, he said, my gift to
you. The carpenter was
shocked! What a shame! If he had only
known he was building his own house, he would
have done it all so differently. So it is with
us. We build our lives, a day at a
time, often putting less than our best into the
building. Then with a shock we
realise we have to live in the house we have
built. If we could do it over
wed do it much differently. But
we cannot go back.....You are the
carpenter. Each day you hammer a
nail, place a board, or erect a wall.
Life
is a do-it-yourself project, someone
has said : Your attitudes and the choices
you make today, build the house you
live in tomorrow.
In
networking this is a very important point., that
is to ..........................
Build
wisely! You should know that when you do join a business
opportunity
there is no longer a boss to tell you what to do
each day.....
When
networking there is a certain point you reach and
that is the make or break point. This is the time
when you are either ready to throw in the towel
or when your business starts earning you a useful
income. It is then that your enthusiasm is
renewed and your business becomes a solid entity.
many people that fail in the first nework
marketing opportunity will view all network
opportunities in the light that none work and
will simply never try again. This is a
huge step backwards
Your
Mindset changes here.!!
To
be a top network marketer, you need to THINK like
a top network marketer.
You can greatly accelerate the
time it takes you to become a top network
marketer, by adopting proven thinking patterns of
a top network marketer rather than learning them
all through hard knocks, and trial and error.
Here are 21 PROVEN thinking patterns that
will accelerate your path to the TOP.
1) Have a BIG REASON
WHY you want to be successful in network
marketing that REALLY matters to YOU. Let it be
the driving force that motivates you DAILY. Let
it be the WOOD for your internal FIRE.
2) Pick a few
PERSONAL goals that REALLY motivate you. Goals
that you can accomplish by having success in
network marketing. Write them down. Review them
often. Make sure they are YOUR goals and not
someone else's. Use your REASON WHY to motivate
you to accomplish your goals. Having a big reason
why and goals will drive you through the
obstacles you WILL encounter. Your GOALS
literally force you to become the person you need
to be in order to accomplish them. The BIGGER the
goals, the more you will have to go through to
accomplish them.
3) Have a WORK HARD
mentality. There is
a saying that the ONLY time success comes before
WORK is in the dictionary. The harder you work,
the luckier you will get. Make sure it is
INTELLIGENT hard work. If something is NOT
working, don't keep doing it over and over again.
Try something different. Not having success? TRY
HARDER, TRY SMARTER.
4) Have an ACTION
mindset. One of the BIGGEST
mistakes new network marketers make is they think
they HAVE to know EVERYTHING about their product
or opportunity before they can work the business.
That mindset creates inactivity. Once you make a
decision to work a network marketing opportunity
you should focus 90% of your time on action, 10%
on learning. This is an ACTION
BUSINESS. Learn
the basics, use the tools, use the systems, plug
into your upline who is having success and then
GO, GO, GO! The only way to REALLY learn network
marketing is by doing it, not reading about it.
This is CRUCIAL to your success.
5)
Don't just take action. Take
MASSIVE, FOCUSED action. Throw everything you
have at it. Make a full commitment and GO. If you
are just working network marketing as a hobby or
to create a part time income you can be casual
about the business. And that is OK. But if you
want to create a MASSIVE income, you must take
MASSIVE, FOCUSED action.
6) ACTIVITY is what
creates results. NOT positive thinking. Do
not wait to be positive before you take action.
Discipline yourself to take action DAILY
regardless of how you feel. Do something daily to
build you business. Have a daily ACTION plan of
the successful activities that directly lead to
acquiring new customers and distributors.
Discipline yourself to do it DAILY. Consistent,
persistent effort is MUCH more important to your
success than being a super hot shot.
7) Have a LONG TERM
perspective. Stay within your budget
on any and all marketing expenses. Plan for the
long term. Don't take yourself out of the game by
being a 90-day wonder. It takes a while to build
up your residual income base, but once it starts
coming in, there is nothing in the world like it.
8) You MUST really
like your product and
opportunity. There is
no way you can have success in network marketing
if you do not believe in and are excited about
your opportunity and product. You don't have to
have a wild maniac excitement. Just a solid
enthusiasm that comes from really believing in
it. A good question to ask yourself before
joining ANY network marketing company is,
"Would I buy this product at the retail
price regardless of the opportunity?" A
second good question to ask is, "Would I
refer my mother to this product and/or
opportunity?" These 2 questions will save
you A LOT of grief from picking the wrong
opportunity.
9) You business will
become, how you treat it. And how
you think about your business will determine how
you will treat it. If you think your business is
a $300 a month business, then that is how you
will treat it. If you think it will make you $10,000
or $100,000 a month, then that
is how treat it. Treat your business the way you
would like it to BECOME, and it will become that
type of business.
10) Do not be afraid
of failure. You will most likely NOT
have immediate success. You will make mistakes.
You will not know all the answers. Your company
may even go out of business. You may have to go
through several opportunities before you find the
RIGHT one for you. Realize success is built on
failure. You only find out what works, by what
doesn't. Through failure comes success. Learn
from your failures, pick yourself up and ATTACK
your goals. Understand fear of failure is REALLY
pride. Success involves being humble enough to
allow yourself to go through failure in order to
learn.
11) New distributors
have a tendency to think everyone will buy their
product or sign up for their opportunity just
because they are excited about it. And when
people don't they are greatly disappointed.
Operate from reality. The REALITY is MOST people
will not join your opportunity or try your
product. That is PERFECTLY normal. It even
happens to the TOP network marketers. They just
don't let it emotionally affect them. Accept that
right from the beginning and you will save
yourself a lot of emotional wear and tear.
12) Be
teachable. You are in school. Every
day you will learn something NEW if you are DOING
the business. And you cannot learn network
marketing any other way. If things aren't working
for you, keep checking upline until you find
someone who is successful. Then listen to what
they have to say. They are having success for a
reason. You will be temporarily uncomfortable
doing new things as you develop the skills needed
to be a top network marketer. Go through that
process willingly and you will have success much
faster.
13) Keep your
pipeline (lots of
prospects going through different stages of being
introduced to your business) filled at
ALL TIMES. The key is to always be
moving so fast you don't have time to dwell on
failure or rejection because you are totally
focused on some positive activity that is
building your business. When you let your
pipeline of prospects or customers run low, you
operate from a position of lack. When you have a
full pipeline, you operate from a position of
abundance. Confidence comes with this position
and when someone is not interested, it does not
affect you. However, if you only have one
prospect in your pipeline and they drop out, you
are in trouble.
14) Ask yourself,
"What one thing can I do TODAY, to massively
build my network marketing business?"
Then do it.
15) The
phone is your BEST friend. Master
the phone and make a fortune. If you're afraid of
the phone, you will never make any significant
money in network marketing. Use the phone to
follow up personally with all of your leads and
customers. And 3-way call your hot prospects with
your upline. Be yourself, be friendly, be
enthusiastic and keep a smile on your face when
you are talking and you'll be surprised at how
much success you can have.
16) Have a
prospecting mindset. Continually
think about unique, creative new ways to acquire
customers and distributors. And then do it.
Thinking and action need to go hand-in-hand.
17) Network
marketing is NOT for everyone. Don't try
to talk people into the business or you will have
to talk them into working the business. You can't
build someone else's business for them. Your best
example comes from YOUR personal success story.
Some people do not want to do what it takes to
build a network marketing business. Identify this
quickly and move on. You are looking for people
who WANT to do the business and are willing to do
what it takes. Simple as that. You are a sorter,
not a seller.
18) Start where you
are at right now. You can't
change your financial situation by dwelling on it
or complaining about it. The only thing that is
going to change your situation is you. Even if
you are flat broke, you can become financially
successful in network marketing. Just realize it
will take you longer. You will have to use
creative and sweat equity. But you can do it if
you NEVER quit. An Opportunity ALWAYS
comes disguised as work.
19)
Be honest and avoid all opportunities based on
greed.
20) Look to God for
help. Pray for
blessings, opportunity, guidance, wisdom,
strength and creativity. He can provide you with
ALL the resources you need in your life, not just
network marketing.
21) As you have
success and become a TOP network marketer,
realize that you are not the ONLY person
responsible for your success. Be
grateful. Don't let your ego take you down. Pride
ALWAYS comes before a fall. Don't forget where
you came from. Help others achieve the same
success you now enjoy.
